Michigan State Head Coach Cathy George
"I think it was a well fought game and Kentucky came out well in game one. I was waiting for a timeout to settle things down, but I had to call one and from that point we continued to chip away and get back into the game and eventually we went ahead and we played well from that point on."
"There is a lot of support and enthusiasm and you can tell that the fans are happy to be here. Everyone has been hospitable and it's been a nice experience."
Ashley Schatzle
"I didn't take the right shots. They were hustling. It helped us to compare the players to girls we've played this season in preparation for this game."
"I remember my freshman year in playing Dayton and I was redshirted that year. The name Dayton has always haunted me and haunted other seniors as well."
Kentucky Head Coach Craig Skinner
"It was a tough loss and anytime you end the season with a loss it's not easy. I give credit to Michigan State who played well and serving very tough to keep our rhythm off offensively. I appreciate the fact that our team battled as hard as they did. We were given a couple of chances here and there and if game one had a different result it could have been a different match. We were on our heals in game two and we couldn't close the gap."
Sarah Rumely
"This is the greatest team I've ever played on. I'll take away the lasting friendships and relationships and the fights and struggles we've had all season. It's something that will be with me for the rest my life."
Nicole Britenriker
"It's always nice to return to the NCAA tournament. There's always an excitement in playing a team you haven't met before during the season."
