The UD women's tennis team took the court for the first time in two weeks on Saturday and was defeated by Atlantic 10 foe Saint Louis, 7-0, at Dayton Center Courts. The Flyers dropped to 3-7 this spring. Dayton was held on winless on the day as SLU swept the doubles point as well as all six singles courts. The doubles team of seniors Allysa Detroy and Megan Gray had its two-match win streak at No. 1 doubles snapped against Casey Miller and Amanda Hellberg in an 8-3 loss. Junior Nikki Dzubay's two-match singles win streak also came to a halt on Saturday. Dzubay fell to Tara Grant at No. 5, 6-1, 6-2. Saint Louis won all six singles matches in straight sets. UD is back in action on Sunday, March 2 at Dayton Center Courts against Butler at 1 p.m. ET. |
