The only word to describe today is "nightmare". We rushed from class, to practice, to pack and then to the airport only to have our flight delayed by almost three hours! By the time we landed, got our rental vans, and got to the hotel it was already 1:30 a.m.... of game day! The weather is rainy and I'm hoping the field will be dry by 2 p.m. tomorrow. I have got to get some sleep though because we have team breakfast at IHOP in nine hours!

Today was a disappointing one to say the least. Granted, we played well during the second half, but the first half we just weren't there. We had two goals scored on us right before halftime in just a three minute span. The day just didn't start off well with a lack of sleep and then on top of that some people didn't get to eat their breakfast until nearly 11:30 a.m. Still there are no excuses for the way we played and I am hoping that after a game like that we won't ever come into a game under prepared again. Coach (Amy) Berbary and Coach (Sergio) Gonzales sought relaxation in the airport by getting massages while I tried to eat sushi to make the pain go away. I can't wait to get back to Dayton and redeem myself on Sunday against George Washington. Now we know that we can lose to anyone and not to underestimate any team that we play. The upside to this though is that in same breath, we can beat anyone.

Last night when we got off of the bus we had a team meeting about preparation. What are we doing to get ourselves not only physically, but mentally ready for each game? We have got to start paying attention to detail if we want to accomplish any of our goals. There was a short, light training this morning, but it was very important. We have decided to try a new formation for the game tomorrow. I don't want to give anything away yet, but I think this may be infallible! Abril (Carbajal) and I just went to Abuelo's for dinner, so I am hoping we win so her and I can make this a Saturday night tradition! Courtney and I have a breakfast tradition of going to First Watch on game days. I'll be meeting her at 9 a.m. tomorrow. We haven't been beaten on a Sunday yet this season, and I have yet to be scored on so I am very much superstitious with this First Watch thing!

We still haven't been beaten on Sunday! Granted, my shutout streak has now been shutdown, the win still helps us in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Fordham tied Charlotte whom is our biggest competition in the league, so that works in our favor. We won 5-1 and we need to defeat our opponents like this for the rest of the season because we really want the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the Conference tournament. I'm so glad we came out hard after the loss to Temple and I'm hoping this means only great things for the rest of the season. I am so excited for this coming weekend at home against UMASS and URI because these are really important games.
