FLYERS IN THE LEAD AFTER DAY ONE OF THE BELLARMINE INVITATIONAL



Freshman Julie Pouliquen shot a round of 80 or below for the fifth time this year.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In the three-team tournament, the Dayton Flyers are in the lead firing a 323 at the Bellarmine Invitational.

Freshman Julie Pouliquen leads the way with a 74 after shooting back-to-back 37's. Pouliquen shot a round of 80 or below for the fifth time this year.

The Flyers as a team shot a 323, 24 strokes ahead of host Bellarmine.

In second place overall was sophomore Katie Gallagher who tallied an 80. Close behind and only four strokes back was sophomore Katie Dempsey with an 84.

Two Flyers were tied for fifth place as senior Mary Kane and sophomore Casey Peterson each recorded an 85.

Freshman Megan Keating and freshman Heather Grant each added an 88 to wrap up day one in a tie for 10th overall.

Sophomore Paige Smith tallied a 92, while sophomore Elaine Enlgish added a 97 to round out the scoring.

UD returns to action for round two of the Bellarmine Invitational at the Persimmon Ridge Golf Course.
