Led Walsh Jesuit to the OHSAA Division II State Championship as a junior...Also a member of three regional qualifying teams at WJ...Finished high school career with a perfect win/loss record on the mound...Named to the All-CRBC team.

A marketing and finance double-major, Benton was born on June 3, 1987...He is the son of Dan Benton and Denise Jurich-Benton...He has two sisters, Alyssa and Nicole.
