Dayton enters the final weekend of the 2008 regular season with a chance to extend one of the winningest seasons in program history as it plays host to Duquesne in a three-game Atlantic 10 Conference series. Dayton sophomore Sarah Allen has been named to the Atlantic 10 Women's Track & Field Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the league on Wednesday. Owner of a 3.92 cumulative grade point average as a psychology major, Allen won the shot put title at the Conference Championships earlier in the month.
Homestanding Dayton could not keep pace with Eastern Kentucky in the late innings as the Flyers lost 10-4 in non-conference baseball action on Tuesday at Time Warner Cable Stadium. With the loss, UD falls to 29-24 overall this season.
