Sara Thomas began at the University of Dayton in July 2002 and has been with the women's basketball program since the 2004-05 season. Her other sport responsibilites include the UD volleyball and rowing programs.

Thomas received a bachelor's of science degree in Athletic Training from Ball State University in 2000 and her Masters of Education in Health Promotion Education from the University of Missouri in 2002. At Missouri, she worked with the Tigers' women's volleyball and football teams.

She has been a NATABOC certified athletic trainer for four years and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association and Ohio Athletic Trainers' Association.

Thomas resides in Kettering with her husband Bill.
